Karim Darwish heads the Super Series Rankings but is closely followed by his countrymen. Darwish is in hot form with his recent wins. There are four Egyptians in the top eight with Shabana and Ashour closely behind. Gaultier the defending Super Series Champion is now in fifth place. How long can Darwish stay on top?

The HK Open will probably provide some convergence in the Super Series points.
Shabana, Darwish and Ashour are all in the same half of the draw for HK, while Willstrop, Palmer, Gaultier and El Hindi are in the bottom half of the HK draw.

So for Darwish to grow his SS points he's going to have to get past Shabana and Ashour again.
