Karim has overtaken his countryman Amr Shabana for the No. 1 World Mens Ranking.  The 28 year old  has had an incredible rise in form during the last two years.  Attaining No. 8 ranking just twelve months ago, he has made a steady climb.  Karim winning last months Saudi International is what pushed him forward to this top spot.

What a dream run for Karim, who has maintained superb strength and fitness, and more importantly without injury, to overtake Shabana, Ashour, Gaultier, Willstrop, Palmer, Lincou, etc.
