Playing a lob and drop guy for playoffs. Any tips? No responses on like...well depens on this, depends on that... that's all I know about him and there must be some standard counter strategy. hit hard? dont let him set-up? more pace? high medium pace? Let me know if you know anyone like that and you got a strategy!

good advice below but one more important thing - be patient in trying to hit winners too soon.

because people like this upset your rythym as much as anything else, they often rely on the opponent tinning the ball.

so follow the advice form rit, keep the opponent behind you and don't go too fine with your low shots.

rsking - the opponent needs time to play good touch shots (drops and lobs) so keep the pace on the ball and keep the opponent moving.

Be careful when playing short, and if any short ball you play catches you, always take a step further forward ready to get to the ball asap (don't hang back).

Volley as many balls as you can, especially the lobs.

The trap is to try to play the same game as the opponent, so when they slow down, you must speed up and vice versa.  Mind you, you cannot attack every ball, especially if it is tight to the wall, so respect those shots and placement will be a good thing for those, and then as soon as you can keep the pace going just do it.

Remember, if this opponent is not too fit, and reasonably skillful, they will be trying to slow you down, so you need to concentrate on keeping the opponent on the move and off balance.

Good luck
