Sport & Health has 80,000 members and 24 club locations of which 7 clubs have squash facilities. Squash members number around 900 including 200 juniors.
Sport & Health programming is very junior oriented, this is where we see the market opportunities as well as providing a base for future generations of players. The applicant therefore must have experience with and also enjoy working with juniors.
Junior programming ranges from novice players through to those tournament players seeking National rankings. At Sport & health, our coaches care about member satisfaction so interpersonal skills are pretty high on the list.
The Sport & Health chain was recently purchased by 5 DC businessman and they are positioning the organization to be the best Health club chain in the mid Atlantic area. Renovations and upgrades to clubs and courts in the next 12 months are part of the program development. This is a most exciting time for squash in the US and a wonderful time for the right candidate who will grow with the expansion.
