In the past ten years, the "recovery session" has become an integral part of professional sport. After the match or event, athletes take freezing cold showers, have a massage, take another freezing cold shower more massage, etc, etc.

The next day you might TV footage of footballers walking  around swmming pools - more recovery.

With the international Tennis circuit in Australia at the moment,  the press are reporting experts, pundits, players and punters all bemoaning the number of injuries amoung the top players with many calling for an extended "off season" to allow players to recover.

Today is my recovery day. Although I took my usual walks (a fom of recovery in itself) and a swim (I was walking around the pool) , today was my veggie day. (for those who are wondering,  veggie = vegetable as in "did as much work as a vegetable")

While my recovey session was not as scientific as the pros, vegging out certainly felt good.

Morning Walk
Tried to ignore just about everything, although the mind was racing on other matters

Swim
The last day I will do only 400 mts - i felt nostalgic. - added a coulpe of stretches - back and core

Evening Walk
My wife  and I were talking about what we were doing at that time 27 years ago - the evening before we got married!squash game squash extras How to add images to Members' Forum posts and replies here...
