Jenny Duncalf (Eng) defeated Rachael Grinham (Au) 12:10 in the fifth. What a marathon 15:13 10:12 4:11 11:7 12:10. Duncalf said she was seeing stars she was so fatigued at 10 all. Rachael said it was so hot she felt she was drowning as though she had just got out of a swimming pool.

1-Nicol David (MAS) bt Donna Urquhart (AUS) 11-6, 11-8, 11-5
2-Jenny Duncalf (ENG) bt 3-Rachael Grinham (AUS) 15-13, 10-12, 4-11, 11-7, 12-10

Donna said after being defeated by Nicol David that she could not go a fifth hard match in the incredibly hot and humid conditions. She had had a good week and this match was one match too far for her.
