I recently purchased some TF X-One string sets over EBay and because the price reached a certain level, the seller sent me a free set of TF Synthetic Gut string (1.25/17).

I have never used this string before, so can anyone advise what the playing characteristics are like, as I do not want to go and use it on one of my favourite rackets and find that it does not suit me.

Cheers

Thanks for this jbs24.  Although the packaging does say for squash, I must admit, the string does look a bit thicker than I am used to.  No wonder it was given away as a freebie then.  I may just give it away to someone who is in desperate need and/or who is not overly concerned about the quality of string they use.  After using TF 305 green and now TF X-One, I would not want to use an inferior quality string in any racket I use regularly.

Cheers

I wouldn't use it in squash racquets, as it's designed for tennis. Higher tension and durability. It probably won't be as playable since it has fewer, larger filaments
