why not sell squash rackets with different sized grips, say like tennis rackets? also, why do these companies even bother selling squash rackets pre-strung with cheap gut that no one really likes? two exceptions being black knight and tecnifibre. whenever you buy a new squash racket, the first thing that comes to mind is, ok i need to go to my stringer and get some good gut on this thing, and then i need to build up the grip so it actually fits my hand. the same companies that make all the good squash rackets also make all the good tennis rackets. why don't we borrow these conventions from the tennis world??

That is a good question or observation.  Most players do not really know what grip they should have anyway and probably choose a racket that feels like their tools at work, or their tennis racket they used, cricket bat or whatever. To keep the correct grip in squash it is necessary to have the correct size according to your hand/finger size. Squash only really has one grip, and not 8 or 9 as in tennis.  Yes, better players do move their grip up the handle when in a tight spot but that is for advanced levels only really.

To adjust the grip to suit is not a big problem, and in these times at least they are smaller so they can be built up rather than bigger so they have to be rasped down as it used to be.

I truly think this has been contemplated, however, most players have a preference on grip thickness and string/string tension, so it might be too hard to cater to all players? I guess a safe bet may be one layer karakal grips, but as to string I think its better they leave it to the players to decide.
