Drop Shot Routines

Can anyone recommend some good routines for drop shots? I am good at boasting, drives and volleys, but when I get up close to the wall my drop shots just hit way too high, they travel long enough for the opponent to get to them instead of just dropping, and lost a game last night coz I couldn't drop shot well.
