Rippa Rita`s championship squash tip

It is a good idea to be able to play off both the front or back foot/leg. This is a more advanced skill.  In fact it is more a decision making skill requiring quick thinking, as well as the ability to recognise the opportunity.  The delima is:

  • Take the ball while back-pedalling and catch the opponent off balance.
  • Take the ball when you feel set and balanced allowing the opponent to be clear of the ball and in the "ready" position.

Not only do we need to practice our technical skills as we become more experienced, but also work on our tactics.
